FAQs

Where can I find my member registration code?

The code you need to take advantage of the member registration discount is on your Scrum Alliance dashboard. Note: To be eligible for the member registration discount code for the Gathering, you must be an active Scrum Alliance member.


So how do I find out if I’m a current Scrum Alliance member?

Go to scrumalliance.org and log in (upper righthand corner of the website). Once you’ve logged in, scroll down to your dashboard and your membership status will appear.


I’m having issues registering, who do I contact?

We’re here to help. Please email support@scrumalliance.org with a detailed message about the issues you may be having. We’ll respond promptly.


My company will be paying for my registration fee, how do I register and obtain an invoice receipt?

If you plan to pay using a credit card, go through the entire registration process. Look at the confirmation email you receive and find the link prompting you to “Print an Invoice.”


If your company would like to take advantage of another payment method, please send an email to support@scrumalliance.org. Our Accounting team will pull together an invoice and send it over with further instructions.


How do I get an official invoice receipt?

There’s a link in your confirmation email that prompts you to “Print an Invoice.” This will produce an official invoice for your specific registration. If you experience any issues or need a group invoice, please email support@scrumalliance.org with your full name and confirmation number. Our Accounting team will pull together an invoice and send it over.


What is your Cancellation/Refund policy?

We really hope you’ll join us but understand that certain situations cannot be controlled.

All cancellations must be received in writing or by email before 30 September 2019 to receive a full refund. Cancellations received between 30 September and 14 October 2019 will be subject to a $100 USD administrative fee to process the registration cancellation. No refund of any kind will be given for cancellation requests received after 14 October 2019. Vienna promotion registration is non-transferable.


Scrum Alliance reserves the right to cancel the event or substitute speakers. In the unlikely event that the Scrum Alliance should have to cancel Global Scrum Gathering Vienna 2019, attendees will be refunded for the amount paid to attend the Gathering program. Scrum Alliance is not responsible for any other attendee-related expenses, including hotel and travel.


In London, I took advantage of the Super Early Bird Vienna promo, Can I give it to someone?

Sorry, Global Scrum Gathering℠ Vienna 2019 special promo registrations are non-transferable. They are, however, refundable as indicated in our Cancellation/Refund Policy.


I need to apply for a visa. Does Scrum Alliance offer a Letter of Invitation?

We do not offer Letters of Invitation to attendees. Tip: if you do need a Letter of Invitation for your visa, you may use your registration papers and hotel confirmation. This has worked for past attendees.


I would like to sponsor a Gathering or another event. How do I go about this?

We love our sponsors and would be delighted to welcome you as one. We ask that sponsorship requests be submitted as early as possible prior to the event date so we have ample time to review with our team to ensure for a positive partnership for both parties. I would like to volunteer for the next Gathering. How do I sign up?

We couldn’t do it without our wonderful volunteers. Volunteer spots are on a first come, first served basis. The on-site Scrum Squad volunteer opportunity has been closed for Vienna. For other current Gathering volunteer opportunities, visit our “Get Involved” page. Thanks for your interest!


Group Discounts

Scrum Alliance offers a 10% group discount for groups of three or more when they register together. Gather your colleagues and friends!


Guest Tickets to Monday Mingle

Monday Mingle is one of the most popular events at our Global Scrum Gatherings. It’s the chance to network and have fun with fellow attendees. At this time, there will be no additional tickets sold for Monday Mingle.


I want to stay at the official hotel of Global Scrum Gathering Vienna 2019. How do I get a room?

We're excited to be working with Austria Trend Hotel Messe Prater Wien for Global Scrum Gathering Vienna. Our room block is very limited (more information forthcoming). We also encourage you to explore the amazing hotels surrounding the Messe Wien Exhibition Congress Center.


How do I get to the Messe Wien Exhibition Congress Center?

You can bus, take the train, taxi/Uber/Lyft, or drive to the Messe Wien Exhibition Congress Center. On the train your exit will be either U2: Messe-Prater or Krieau. Please review the Travel page for more information.


Is there a mobile app?

Yes! The mobile app will be available in October. We send a notification to registered attendees once it's ready. This year we have moved to a completely digital program, make sure to download it early. To reiterate: There will be no paper agenda/schedules, so plan to use the mobile app to keep you engaged and organized.


Will there be a Coaches Clinic®?

Yes! Our popular Coaches Clinic happens Monday - Wednesday during the Gathering. If you need help with specific challenges encountered on your agile journey, this is your opportunity to speak one-on-one with an experienced agile coach. We can help you find the right coach to discuss technical practices, organizational change, Scrum, Kanban, agile coaching as a career, and many other topics. Make an appointment or just walk in. The Coaches Clinic is a service of the Certified Scrum Coach community.
