Global Scrum Gathering New York City

Call for Papers

We are excited to announce that the Call for Papers for Global Scrum Gathering New York 2020 is now open! Global Scrum Gatherings are an exciting opportunity for members of our community to meet and share the wealth of their knowledge and experience. An innovative and exceptional educational program is one of the ways we make that happen. We urge you to consider submitting a proposal for delivering a presentation at Global Scrum Gathering New York 2020.

Global Scrum Gathering New York 2020 DOES NOT HAVE THEMES! This means you have a unique opportunity to submit an abstract on any topic that is relevant and important to the agile community. Please read through the Submission Guidelines in their entirety before submitting an abstract so you can meet all of the requirements needed. This will enhance your chances of being selected to present.

We look forward to your submission!

What We're Looking For:

  • Call for Papers opens July 15, 2019
  • Submissions deadline and system close: August 15, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time
  • Review phase: Beginning of September - Mid October, 2019
  • Accepted/Rejected notifications sent: Week of December 16, 2019. Speakers have 48 business hours to confirm once notified.
  • Program announced: Mid-January, 2020

What's the Next Step?

  1. READ THIS FIRST: Please review the entire submission guidelines before you proceed with your submission. It has all the details you need to know.
  2. If this is your first time using the system, you’ll need to have a User Profile created for you. Email with “Login request for Call for Papers New York” in the subject field. We will respond within one business day.
  3. Once your profile is created, advance through the submission form to complete fields as you’re prepared. You may “save” your submission at any time and return at a later date to continue work.
  4. While not all fields are required, it is highly recommended all fields be completed to best outline your proposal.
  5. Several fields throughout the submission will be used for web program listing, mobile app, and social media promotion. Please consider these fields when providing details and uploading headshots.

Thank you in advance for your willingness to participate at #SGNYC20!

For the first time in Global Scrum Gathering history, there are no appointed themes. You read that right. Our amazing NAGT has decided to try this new approach to create a fresh, insightful, and entertaining experience for attendees. Of course, as we review submissions, certain themes may emerge and we will iterate accordingly.

So, rather than being confined by a list of themes to follow, we want proposals for high-quality presentations and workshops/interactive sessions that you believe will be of interest to the agile community. Think about what subject you’d like to share, how it pertains to agile and Scrum, and why you feel it’s important to the agile community.
